Come to the Kick-Off for our 1000 Books before Kindergarten, an early literacy reading program on Saturday, September 15, from 1:00pm–2:00pm, in the Children’s Room.
Each child will receive a free book and adults will be given a package that includes all the information needed to start.
This is an easy to do reading program that encourages lifelong literacy for newborn, infants and toddlers. Parents and caregiver keep a log of each book read until the child attends Kindergarten. We provide log sheets, organized in 100 book increments, that keep track of the number of books read. Each child receives a new book and prizes for each page completed until they reach 1000 book goal. The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless!
