Presentation by Howard Husock, a contributing editor of City Journal and a member of the Manhattan Institute.  Howard Husock tells the story of William Voris, a resident of Rye in the early 19th century.  William Voris became one of the country’s wealthiest African American business owners when he fled New Jersey to escape slavery. Light refreshments will be served.
