Chanukah party

As we continue to celebrate this holiday season during the month of December, you are cordially invited to a Chanukah party at the library. Chanukah is the eight day Jewish festival of lights.
The program will include an opportunity for all to hear the story of Chanukah, learn how to play the dreidel (a spinning top toy) game, nibble on some traditional Chanukah foods and be entertained at a special performance by Jacob “Spike” Kraus, a member of the award-winning Jewish a cappella group Six13. Six13 is a groundbreaking, six-man a cappella vocal band that brings an unprecedented style of Jewish music to the stage, with songs ranging from hip-hop dance tracks to rock anthems. The members of the New York City-based group sound like a full band – while using nothing but their voices.
The Chanukah party, free of charge, will take place on Thursday, December 7th, beginning at 6:00pm in the Grace Green Baker Community Room.
